​The Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition supports and advocates for conservation, stewardship, and public access to the natural ecosystems of the Belfast Bay watershed through education, community engagement, collaboration, and research.

Our Vision
The Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition envisions a rejuvenation of the natural interwoven systems of the Belfast Bay and of the four watersheds flowing into it. We envision a free-flowing Little River, Passagassawakeag River, and Goose River, to join the already free-flowing Wescot Stream.
In this vision, both the saltwater and the freshwater are clean and supportive of all life. Fish return to the rivers each year to mingle and spawn among resident native fish, free of barriers to passage. Migratory birds nest among resident birds. And humans appreciate and steward this functioning natural environment, giving it the care and sustenance it gives us.
